Another podium for Vivacqua at Estoril

After some positive results in the EuroFormula Open Winter Series, scoring a third-place finish in the Le Castellet race, Thiago Vivacqua started positively the main season in Estoril, Portugal.

Driving for Campos Racing and being assisted by our Academy’s trainers, Vivacqua qualified his Formula 3 car in 4th position for the first race and 7th for the second race. After a technical issue at the start of the first race, the Brazilian-Portuguese driver was forced to retire in the early stages. Starting from the 4th row in Race 2, Vivacqua showed a strong pace, taking quickly the third place of the classification which he will keep until the chequered flag, scoring his second podium this season.

His team mate and fellow countryman Matheus Iorio – also driving for Campos Racing – scored a podium in Race 1, bringing a double podium finish to the Spanish squad.

The EuroFormula Open championship will travel to Spa for its second round, the next 26, 27 and 28 of May.
